The Crescent Mute was designed to warm up the tone and lower the pitch of low Bb. The size of the crescent determines how much the pitch is effected. Made out of wood and natural rubber, they have a classic look with excellent grip to make sure they won't fall out of the bell during use.
 
Size A has a thinner crescent to affect the pitch slightly
Size B has a wider crescent to affect the pitch a bit more
 
Soprano only has one size at this time. Tenor coming soon.
